12 Days of Christmas, I'm In!

Christmas time is upon us, can you believe it? 44 days util the big day and I am not even close to being done with all of my shopping. This time of year is always fun and hectic and this year, we're moving to a new house before Thanksgiving. Things have been hectic and very busy, but we cannot wait to be in our new home close to my parents and sisters!

Anyways! I am participating in The 12 Days of Christmas swap again hosted by CG Swaps. This is actually my 2nd year to participate. Last year was a blast and it was tons of fun shopping for 12 awesome gifts for my swap partner and unwrapping one a day starting on December 13th. There's still time to sign up if you're interested. I always love this time of the year when fall scented stuff and pumpkin goodies that start coming out. It's also time for Swapoween with CG Swaps,which might be my favorite swap they do! I participated the last 2 years and loved preparing and getting a box of some really cool Halloween goodies.

• After being accepted, you must post on your blog saying you're participating.  Post must include the button/link back to the sign-ups and must be posted on or before September 15th.
• Packages must contain at least 5 items that are related to Halloween, and fit your partner's preferences.
• You must respond to emails from the swap hosts within a timely fashion.
• Packages MUST be mailed on or before October 11th!
• You must send a tracking number for your package to your partner and to us at Chaotic Goddess Swaps.
• You MUST post and link up your swap reveal post (linky goes live October 15th). This is non-negotiable.

Please do not sign up for this swap if you cannot fulfill your obligation to the rules above.

We don't want anyone to be left out and not receive a package, especially after sending one. If for any reason you become unable to participate YOU MUST CONTACT US here at Chaotic Goddess Swaps immediately so we can work out another arrangement. Local Flavor Swap Show Off

I have been trying for days to post this from my phone, but I guess I'm not smart enough to figure out how to do that lol. I am finally at my laptop and am able to get this up. Yay! A few weeks ago I received my box of goodies from the Local Flavors Swap hosted by Angie and Beth at Chaotic Goddess Swaps.


 I was paired with Lauren from Shooting Stars Mag. I sent her a box of Oklahoma goodies that reminded me of home and she put together a box of Kentucky and Ohio items because she lives on the border of both states. I got some awesome stuff!

These cookies were delish! I could eat them every day!

Local Flavors Swap: I'm In!

It has been almost 8 months since my last swap. 8 months! 8 months too long! I've been wanting to participate since I graduated college in May, but I get side tracked and forget to sign up. This time, I made sure I remembered to sign up; I even wrote the day in my planner! Swaps with Chaotic Goddess Swaps are always so organized and fun!

So... what's the Local Flavor Swap you ask? This is the first time I have ever participated in this, but pretty much I'll be assigned a partner and send her 5 or more items that are native or remind me of home-I'm from Oklahoma, so my partner will get things from my small hometown and things from Oklahoma. They'll in turn send me a package with 5 or more items from their home. Pretty cool right?

12 Days of Christmas Swap Reveal!

Woo hoo! The time has come to reveal my 12 Days of Christmas Swap Package. I meant to have this up a few days ago, but my mother-in-law suddenly passed away yesterday and my mind has been elsewhere.

 

Anyway, this swap was so fun to take part in and I had a blast shopping for goodies. This swap was hosted by Miss Beth and Miss Angie at Chaotic Goddess Swaps. I was paired with the lovely Victoria from My Thoughts for Thought. I really enjoy reading her blog reviews on subscription boxes! I feel like we were a lot alike and our packages to each other were pretty similar. My package to her was delayed due to the snow storm, so we both got to open a few presents at a time to catch up.

Here's my box of goodies! (I for sure will do this swap every year, because it's like an early Christmas each day leading up to Christmas!):

Day 1: Yummy, homemade fudge! This lasted a whole 5 minutes and was delicious! I even had a little gift opening helper :)

Day 2: Nail Polish, which I love! Such pretty colors!

Day 3: There were 2 # 2's, so I opened one on Day 3. Cute candy cane earrings made by Victoria!

Day 4: Gingersnap Tea. I haven't used this yet, but I love tea in the winter and this sounds really yummy!

Day 5: Chocolate Cookie Mix. I need to make this so soon. Yum!!

Day 6: A Wine Bag with candy inside. I think it would be cute to take on a picnic :)

 Day 7:  I couldn't find the tag for a number 7, but it;'s no biggie. I think it got pulled off somewhere and might have been one of the polish colors. I love them both :)

Day 8: Cute Candy cane earrings made by Victoria :)

 Day 9: Homemade hot cocoa with a candy cane. I have yet to use this because I haven't been home much, but it looks yummy!

 Day 10:  Really cute tea stained clothespins to display Christmas cards. I LOVE these too!

 Day 11: A cute leopard scarf! I LOVE this soooo much! It will be heavily worn!

 Day 12: This cute purse/clutch that her cousin made. It is soooo cute and definitely one of my favorite items!

 I am super happy with everything I received and loved that a lot of items were homemade. I hope Victoria loves her package as well! :)

12 Days of Christmas Swap: I'm In!!!

It's the most wonderful time of the year! I love Christmas time; mostly because I love to give, so what better way to get to give than to join in on a swap. This swap is the first I've done at Christmas time and I know it will be a blast! 12 gifts to be opened from December 13th to December 25th. How fun! Lord knows I need one big bang before I start student teaching in January.

Swapoween Reveal!

I finally got ( well ok, she's SUPER easy to get to bed because she's on a schedule and out by 8:30 every night) Little Bit to bed and now I have time to get my swap reveal post up! I seriously should have done this 3-4 days ago, but I was only able to go to the post office today to get the package. Oh the joys of living in a small town with no addresses and hence, no public mail boxes.

Anyways... Zoey is a great alarm clock. She babbles in her sleep and usually starts around 7 or 8 in the morning. Today it happened to be 8, the time the post office opens on Saturday. I knew I had to get her a bottle and hurry because they're only open for an hour. So I flew out the door, bra less and all to make sure I got this package today, because I couldn't hold off any more. Boy, it was worth it too!

 

This awesome swap was hosted by Miss Angie and Miss Beth from CG Swaps . I was paired with Joni from Blue Cats and Roses. I was so glad we chose to add each other to FB so we could learn a little more about one another. I quickly discovered through a few e-mails, that we were a lot alike and that shopping for her would be easy! Boy was I right, because I had a hard time pulling the plug. It was nice to be paired with someone so much like me and who was a neighbor from a close state(I'm in OK, she's in TX).

Anyways, here's my goodies! (Please ignore my hairy legs shown in some pictures, I desperately need to shave them, but eh, it's cold outside and sweats cover them lol.)

I LOVE anything glitter and this cup is awesome!!! It will be going to work with me :)

Seriously, how cute is this bag? Zoey will be using it to collect candy tomorrow at our church's fall festival.

She made me a cute foam leaf garland that I strung along my mantle. Zoey was way into Dinosaur Train and didn't want to help me open the package :(
