WWTK: Week 50

null
Who's back this week to rock and roll? Woot woot!!!

This week's questions:
{1} What is something that you currently spend money on that you consider a splurge or frivolous?
{2} Tell us about your first paying job. How old were you?
{3} Do you plan date nights and extras into a monthly/weekly budget?
{4} Share one of your money saving tips with us. And finally, Christine @ http://cmgendreau.blogspot.com wants to know:
{5} If you won the lottery - would you spend it frivolously or use what you need and save the rest? Why?

{1} What is something that you currently spend money on that you consider a splurge or frivolous? I get to splurge pretty regularly. If I had to guess, I consider it a splurge when I get to order my Mary Kay. Reminds me, STILL need to order my personal stuff!
{2} Tell us about your first paying job. How old were you? Taco Mayo! I was 15, almost 16 and worked at the most ghetto Taco Mayo on Earth. Like seriously, this place hadn't been remodeled in 20-25 years (my parent's had their first date there in '82 and it looked exactly the same!)and was in the middle of nowhere! Seriously, I was the she'll do it all girl. I remember having to scrub the nasty trash grime from the bottom of the old trash cans. I wanted to puke, it was awful!
{3} Do you plan date nights and extras into a monthly/weekly budget? Sadly, no. We should, but we don't. We kind of go on a whim, because Josh has been working so much lately, that we just don't have the time. We do plan out where we'll go to eat and stuff when we go out of town though. That will be next week and I am sooo excited!
{4} Share one of your money saving tips with us. Probably not the best at this, because I can't save money for anything in my life! But to play fair, I advise: 1. Make homemade meals. They are so much cheaper, healthier, and goes further! 2. Use coupons! They're like free money! And finally, Christine @ http://cmgendreau.blogspot.com wants to know:
{5} If you won the lottery - would you spend it frivolously or use what you need and save the rest? Why? I'd blow through a few thousand, QUICK! I'd first pay off all debts- student loans, credit cards, cars, etc. and pay ahead on bills. I'd hurry and finish school and then use a few more thousands to buy anything I desired, needed. I'd also make sure Josh could buy all the things he had put off for so long, but has always wanted. The rest goes in a bank account for us to live comfortably on for the rest of our lives :)

WWTK:Week 48

It's Sunday and I am way late at posting this!!My week was crap and I pretty much shut my self off from the social world (probably was better that way!), but alas, I am here with the answers to this week's WWTK. The questions are all food related (what could be better?) and I am excited to share my answers.

Here are this week's questions:
1}Ricki Jill @ http://ricki-treleaven.blogspot.com wants to know:
I would like to know what the WWTK's participants serve when they have company for dinner. What are your go-to recipes?
{2}Jill @ http://jills-world.blogspot.com wants to know:
If you were told it was time for your last meal, what would you order up or make for yourself?
{3}Suzanne @ http://suzannewynnell.wordpress.com/ wants to know:
Sugar or alcohol? or more delicately Drink or Dessert?
{4}Myya @ http://myyasays.blogspot.com/ wants to know:
What is your favorite Crock Pot Recipe?
{5} Mamarazzi is having a hard time getting breakfast in everyday so she wants to know:
What are you eating for breakfast these days?

Here are my answers:
1}Ricki Jill @ http://ricki-treleaven.blogspot.com wants to know:

I don't really ever have dinner guest over, but I do throw home parties ever now and then. When I do, I usually serve finger foods and appetizers. I'm known for making a killer cheese dip, bbq smokies, pin wheels, Death By Chocolate, and cookies to name a few.

{2}Jill @ http://jills-world.blogspot.com wants to know:
If you were told it was time for your last meal, what would you order up or make for yourself?
Oh man, what wouldn't I order is the question? :) I would probably order something Italian; maybe Chicken Parmesan or a psata with sun-dried tomatoes. I would order cheesy bread, Mozarella sticks, fried- green tomatoes, stuffed mushrooms from Olive Garden, along with their salad and breadsticks and Zuppa Tuscana soup, and canolis, crepes, and a slice each of Tiramisu and Italian Creme Cake. What? It's my last meal and I'm going out in style lol.

{3}Suzanne @ http://suzannewynnell.wordpress.com/ wants to know:
Sugar or alcohol? or more delicately Drink or Dessert?
Can it not be both? Darn! I'd say sugar if I had to choose between that and alcohol, but definitely the more delicate dink and dessert if I had to choose?

{4}Myya @ http://myyasays.blogspot.com/ wants to know:
What is your favorite Crock Pot Recipe?
I make a TON of crockpot recipes! Here is one of my favorites I did a tutorial on on youtube :)

{5} Mamarazzi is having a hard time getting breakfast in everyday so she wants to know:
What are you eating for breakfast these days?
Right now I am doing the Herbalife diet, so usually for breakfast, I blend up a Herbalife meal replacement shake, since my mornings with the babies is pretty hectic. I suggest smoothies though for those who have a hard time eating breakfast :)

Friday Confessionals: Kinda Think I'm a Food Addict?

Photobucket

I confess... My diet has been total crap this week! I feel like I've ate a ton and don't know why.

I confess... I have a new addiction to pop-tarts. Literally. I bought 5 boxes in a week...

I confess... Tonight I went to dinner with my family at a Chinese restaurant and it was really nice. My family is the most inappropriate, loud bunch there is. People stare at us, but who cares?

I confess... I was excited to go look around at Wal-Mart by myself after dinner (reflecting and time to clear my head). However, my phone went off.

It was my dad.

I confess... He asked me to go back to the restaurant because my mom had lost her cell phone. I'm an awesome daughter, so I agreed.

I confess... I looked like a moron trying to explain the situation to the Chinese waitresses. In the end, there was no phone there and I had to call my mom to tell her.

I confess, 15 minutes after I told her; she texts me and tells me she found it.

She was looking in the wrong coat...

It's 11:00 and I'm about to chow down again. Hey, it's nice to have good teeth and get to eat normal foods again :)

WWTK: Week 47

{1} What is your favorite way to celebrate birthdays?
{2} Which is more fun to celebrate? Celebrating yours or your loved ones?
{3} What is your dessert of choice for birthday celebrating?
{4} Tell us about your best birthday you've ever had.
{5} Share your favorite birthday song
{6} Bonus Question: if you could pick any age to be again, how old would you be and why?

{1} What is your favorite way to celebrate birthdays?
I like an intimate, family gathering at the person's favorite resturant with a few gifts. I like just being able to laugh and enjoy ourselves and with family, it just seems to make the day a little better.

{2} Which is more fun to celebrate? Celebrating yours or your loved ones?
Both are fun, but I prefer celebrating other's birthdays. Sure, I love celebrating mine, but sometimes feel a little silly for getting all the attention. With other's birthdays, I can throw myself into the planning and spend time making sure I pick out the best present. It's always fun for me to give.

{3} What is your dessert of choice for birthday celebrating?
My FAVORITE cake ever to get for my birthday is what's called an earthquake cake. My grandma used to make me one for my birthday (bout all the woman's ever given me- sad, but true. We will leave that topic for another day). But since I haven't had it in years, I'll go for the next best thing- funfetti or rainbow chip :)

{4} Tell us about your best birthday you've ever had.
The last birthday I had- on the 23rd. I turned 25 and it was nice to celebrate with my friends and family. I also received a Kitchenaid mixer :)

{5} Share your favorite birthday song

{6} Bonus question: if you could pick any age to be again, how old would you be and why?
I am loving being 25, so I will stay with that :)

I'm a Grouch

Just call me Jennifer The Grouch because tonight people are getting on my last nerve! Here's my soap box for the night.

- I'm going in for 2 root canals tomorrow :( Alone, because hubs has to work and at the butt crack of dawn. I'm so awesome, I am going to work afterwards. Let's hope I don't leave a trail of drool down the hallway from having a numb mouth.

- If ONE MORE PERSON adds me to a group on facebook without my permission, I am going to SCREAM! At least let me make that choice of my own. Tonight, I got added to a group called Bitchfest. Maybe there's a coincidence that that happened, but still, it's annoying. Just stop already!

- I really wish the road crew in town would clean up all the road kill. I don't like having to swerve to miss hitting an already dead animal and risk messing up my car. And to the people who have had the dead dog in your yard by your mailbox for 3 weeks; you disgust me. How can you stand that and I don't want to see it daily.

- Also to roadcrew, please finish this bridge construction. I hate the barriers put up to make the highway into one lane. I have to go super slow so I don't wreck.

-To the boring lady with Kool-aid hair who taught the boring session yesterday at my training; thanks for wasting an hour and a half of my precious time yesterday by lecturing about common sense things. I disagreed with about half you said and you weren't funny. I was hoping since you had all these handmade toys out on display, I'd get to make some to bring back to my room, but no. Thanks alot.

- I am wanting to buy from this site littleblackbag.com soooo bad, but lack about 25 bucks to do so. I need a new designer purse! Sell ebay listed items, sell!!!

I better get my grouchy butt in bed. I really don't want to be crabby at the dentist. Maybe I'll be smart and take the laughing gas? Me+ laughing gas= MAJOR DORK!!!

Good night all :)

Friday Confessionals

Photobucket

It's Friday and I am so ready to crack these bad boys out!

I confess...
Josh re-arranged the house. While I love how it looks, I HATE that I cannot find anything tonight that I need; envelopes, my nail polish remover. I am a packrat and hate when I can't find what I need when I need it.

I confess...
As a result, I've been picking at my chipped red nailpolish for 2 hours so I can paint my nails a new color. It's obviously not going well...

I confess...
I was soooo excited to mail out my favorite things swap package to my partner Stacie. I may have went over board with this swap. All the goodies wouldn't even fit in a flat rate box, but that's okay :)

I confess...
Today was the first day in 3 days I washed my hair. I was a real grease monkey this week, but like digging the natural waves in my hair.

I confess...
I am so not looking forward to a work training tomorrow. It's all day long and BORING! What's worse is I signed up to go and get paid!

I confess...
I make nicknames for the kids I work with (some aren't very nice; like Swampy for a child who has the worst case of swamp foot I have ever experienced). It helps me keep better track of them this way.

I confess...
Yesterday my best friend told me she was pregnant and I am so so happy for her. Today, she asked me to be an aunt to it and I ran with it! I am so so honored!

I confess...
I am crazy for committing to going back to work Monday after I get 2(yes 2!) root canals. Need the money that bad; sad!

I confess...
I am still working on the chipped nail polish.

I confess...
Tonight was the first time in a few days I washed my face and didn't sleep with my make-up on. My skin personally thanked me.

I confess...
Since I turned 25 last week, I physically turned about 75. My body wants to crash and go to be by 6 every night.
