{1} What are your Top 3 blogging tips for other bloggers?
1. Be yourself! Nothing is better to me than reading a blog written by someone with a sense of humor. I want to laugh my butt off while reading it :)
2. DO BLOG LINK-UPS!!! It's a great way to meet new people and to get your blog out there. I have met so many great friends and have learned a ton from other people's blogs.
3. Find a blog swap and sign up for one! It is like Christmas all the time when you get to sign up, shop for your partner, and get an awesome package in return! (Note... I am getting ready to send my awesome swap partner her package this weekend, so stay tuned to see what she gets :).

{2} What book have you read lately that you would recommend?
The Help by Kathryn Stockett. Read it! If you love the movie, you'll love the book even more!

{3} What is a physical feature you have been complimented on?
My eyes. I am pretty fond of them as well; their a light, skyish blue color.

Purple, of course :)

Post 200: Help Me and Funness!

This is mildly embarrassing, but over the last few weeks my blog has been going crazy. Whenever I try to follow a blog, it shows that I am subscribed to it, but never saves on my dashboard. I've never had this problem before and it's a pain in the rear to have to keep going and re-following blogs over and over again.

So, Mamamrazzi and Stacie, i'm not going crazy adding your blog a thousand times, although I do love them :)

By the way.. Slatkin and Co. I am not too happy about this happening. Better be glad you smell good and I love you so much, or this would not have ended well.


Valentine's Day was a success. I knew waiting 2 days after wards was a smart idea, since everything was 50% off and all. Josh loved it too. And Wife of the Year goes to? :)

I Confess Fridays

I confess... I have no excuse for why I didn't take part in the other blog post link ups other than I was too lazy this week to write. :)

I confess... I am pretty happy with how Valentine's Day turned out. *Pat on the back*

I confess... seeing more people subscribe and follow my blog makes me so super happy! *Hi followers!*

I confess... our dog, Mrs. Lexi, thought it was her Valentine's Day too. She waited til Josh went outside to take the trash out and I was sound asleep and she ate about 8 pieces of the heart shaped box of candy I got Josh for Valentine's Day. Josh freaked out all night, but this isn't the first time this has happened. She is fine and pretty sure, she's part human.

I confess...that I went and scrubbed my face more than I should this week because I was tired of people looking at my battle wound on my nose and saying, "Wait, you have a pen mark on your nose. Oh wait, it's a scab."

I confess... that this week, every day I have looked in the mirror, I scare myself with the image. I have a good 2-3 inches of root growth (blonde roots and red hair just don't work), bushy eyebrows, and since I ran out of facial powder, usually my makeup is a hot mess.

I confess...I honestly don't care though. I'm not impressing the kids at work lol. They like me regardless.

I confess...I am excited to get my hair redone next Friday and to be off 2 days! Maybe I'll get things that I want to do, done!

I confess... I love my Favorite Things swap partner! Such a little fire cracker and I love that about her! I don't think our pairing could've been more perfect!

I confess... I really need to get busy this weekend and go pick some stuff up for her awesome package :)

I confess... I STILL need to post a personal Mary Kay order. I placed an order Monday, but I only got 2 nail polishes and a primer. Maybe next week when I get paid?

I confess... I am using a Mary Kay blush sample because I'm sick of wearing the same blush all the time and I have yet to order full sized, new ones.

I confess, I need to finish getting around for work before I am late and this confessional is a novel long :)

1. Are you a morning person or night person?
I would say morning, just because I am always up by 6:30 or 7:00 Monday-Friday for work. Even on the weekends, I'm up around 9.

2. Biggest pet peeve- yes just one as I know we all have MANY.
People who cannot spell! I really hate ready emails, social network posts, texts, etc. written by people who misspell words or us the wrong form of a word. Ex: their, there, they're. Or this:O gewd and gentle fb town folk. .I bid thee a gewd nite.Seriously, I want to get a red pen out and start grammar checking!

3. Color you believe looks best on you and if your friend agree?
I like myself in dark blues- cobalt and navy. I also love myself in reds. I have been told they really compliment my coloring and bring out my eyes even more :)

4. Greatest daily challenge?
Exercising. Definitely not something I grew up doing or that has ever been a part of my every day life, until this year. It's a struggle with myself to exercise daily, but I feel so much better after I do it.

5. Beer or something stronger on a Friday night?
I am not much of a drinker, but those nights when I need a little pick me up, I go for something sweet, like a whiskey sour or a mudslide :)

6. Last movie you saw and was it all you hoped for?
Oh man, I haven't been to the movie in almost a year! Sad, I know! Last movie I saw was the last Pirates of the Carribean and I loved it! I do want to go and see The Vow though.

7. Latest recipe that you made with success and feel free to share?
I made the low-cal strawberry cake recipe a week or so ago from pinterest. Take a strawberry cake mix and a can of Sprite Zero or diet Shasta. Replace eggs, water, and oil called for in the cakemix recipe with the Sprite and mix well. Bake according to cake mix directions. Let cool and top with fresh strawberries and cool-whip. It was sooo yummy!

8. If given the opportunity- would you go back and fix a mistake that still haunts you?
Yes!!! We will just leave it at that :)

9. Name one simple thing that someone could do for you in a day that would make the day perfect.
Compliment me or give me a hug :)

Ocean, definitely

Meeting new people! I love to meet people and make new friends.

I Confess Fridays

This week's confessional is all over the place; you've been warned! :)

I confess... I REALLY need to place a Mary Kay order, but HATE paying the tax on an order I get for 50% off. Really, it's bad...

I confess... It's so bad, that I told hubby I wanted Mary Kay for my birthday and Valentine's Day, because I know, I rarely will order it myself.

I confess... I sometimes feel out of place when I go to Mary Kay meetings. My makeup isn't always as put together, I feel not so professional or knowledgeable, but I try.

I confess... I had to do a game of eeny, meeny to decide the best time to fight the crowd at Wal-Mart to get groceries. I picked on my lunch break and it was welfare city!

I confess... I had to practice self control. I didn't even get all the groceries on my list because I wanted out of there so bad.

I confess... Already 6 minutes late to work, I try to leave and almost get hit by an old man in a boat car. I had to jump the curb to not get hit.

I confess... I'm a bit of a whiner this week... :)

I confess... my face is a hot mess! I somehow managed to claw a huge chunk of skin off my nose yesterday, while playing ball with the kids at work. Bled and I look like I got in a fight...


I confess... I am sucking this week at blogging. I am, 3 or 4 days behind on my daily photo challenge? Sheesh, I fail!

I confess... I chased my dog around the house to try and get a picture of her running around with a bone in her mouth, but she was no game.


I confess... it took me 3 hours (yes, 3!) to make this! Hubby had to help me cut the boards, because I may, or may not, have thrown a few temper tantrums like a little kid. I hate things not turning out like I like them, but overall, I am happy with it!

I confess... I may have a nail polish addiction. I'll have to build another rack, because I don't see an end in sight any time soon.

I confess... this drives me crazy! A girl I work with typed this memo up to give to parents; I noticed it as I was leaving yesterday and immediately snatched it up. I would be embarrassed for any parent to have to see this!


I confess... What??? NO!!!!!

{1} What is for dinner tonight (bonus for sharing the recipe)?
Tonight is probably going to be an easy night and either be spaghetti or Velvetta Skillets- Chicken, Cheddar, and Broccoli. It's ones of those kinds of night :)

{2} Share something you are currently looking forward to.
25th birthday on the 23rd! Weekend of celebrating with those I love. Holla!

{3} What are your thoughts on re-gifting?
I am guilty of re-gifting! I will say their are limits. Never make a re-gift obvious (ex: regifting something homemade or one of a kind, or something the buyer is likely to ask you about.). Also, NEVER re-gift something used, soooo tacky! However, if I get something that's just not me and I know someone else may love it, then why not give it a new home?


{4} How often do you rearrange your furniture?
I'd say maybe twice a year, but it should be more! I'm always afraid if I move something around, I'll hate it because I can't see the results in my head before I do it. Does that make sense?

My Happy List: Nook Edition

As promised, I am going to be a better blogger in 2012 :) Today, I am taking part in a link up over at Mamarazzi's My Happy List post. This week, I chose to go with a "mostly" Nook based theme, but I figured, what the heck, just throw in everything that's making me happy this week!

*I am Happy that today hubby and I got caught up on our daily devotionals! We're 46 days in and God is really speaking to both of us to be better spouses.

* I am Happy to have found this bit of joy after I returned to my Nook homescreen after devotionals:

It was like a sign for above to reward myself after tonight's intense cardio workout.

* I was Happy to open up that bit of bliss and see awesome advertisements, like this one:

Anyone see the M&M's Super Bowl commerical? Amazing!

* I am Happy and love the look of the new Ms. Brown M&M. So classy, so sassy!

* I was Happy to see that Food Network Magazine was thinking of me and included a calender of chocolate for the month of March for chocoholics, like myself.


*I am SUPER Happy to have lost 7 pounds in 2 weeks!!! Yoga and counting calories is paying off! I am loving the difference I am already seeing in my clothes!


*I am Happy I finally palyed a big word in Words With Friends! Proof!!


*I am so Happy to be in a new room at work. I needed a change in my life and a break from a room full of negativity.

* I am Happy we got our taxes back and are getting a pretty nice amount back :)

* I am Happy to finally have figured out what I'm doing for my part of Valentine's Day :)

*I was soooo Happy to watch Glee tonight and see Ricky Martin on and I'm kinda thinking he may be a regular character? LOVE HIM!

Mamarazzi's Favorite Things Swap!

The weather here in Oklahoma is CARAZY!!! Last week we had like 73 degree temps, rainstorms. Today and yesterday it's been 40's and freezing!!! I do not like it at all!!!

That being said, what's one thing that always makes me happy and boosts my spirits, even in crazy weather? A swap!!! And I have been chosen to participate in the perfect one, EVER!

I have been selected as a newbie swapper to take place in Miss Mamarazzi's Favorite Things Swap and boy, am I excited! It's been a good 5 months since my last swap and I am really needing some fun in my life.

I Confess...The Season of Love

Today I am starting a new weekly blog post. I will be linking up with Mamarazzi and taking part in her weekly I Confess series. One of my goals for myself this year is to blog more and meet new bloggers and this is the first step!



So, it's February and my absolute favorite month! Yes, it is my birthday month, but I also get excited for all the love I get to express, that I may take for granted the rest of the year.

I Confess...
I still have no idea what I'm going to do for Josh for Valentine's. Honestly, it'll probably be something I come up with the few days before, when I get paid and go to the store.

That being said...

I Confess...
I HATE Wal-Mart around holiday times. Mostly because, every man in the universe procrastinates like I do, and I am stuck in line for 30 minutes; being the only woman, with a cart full of love, looking like a fool. Oh, perks of living in a town with only a Wal-Mart and nothing else.

I Confess...
Part of me if more excited to celebrate with the kids at work. It requires little thought on my part and the looks on their faces while they eat sugar overload is priceless. BTW... going from 12-18 months, to 18-24 months, should be an event. :)

I Confess...
I really don't like people who look for a pity party for Valentines Day. "Oh, I hate Valentine's Day, because I am single." Seriously, I was single all through high school, except a few months and until I was 20 and always rocked Valentine's Day alone or with my friends. You don't have to have a significant other to show love to those around you.

I HATE those nasty convo hearts! If I get any this year, I'll cry!

I Confess...
Part of me is wanting to order a sexy little nighty and/or outfit and put on a little show :)

February Photo A Day Challenge: Day 1 and 2

So, I totally failed at doing January's Photo A Day Challenge, but I'm here to succeed at being a part of February's. I kinda forgot to post yesterday's, so you get a 2-for-1 deal today :0)

My Favorite Month!

Woo hoo, it's February; my favorite month! February flies by, but is oh, so fun! I turn a whole 25 on the 23rd and am pretty darn excited! Age doesn't scare me at all, because I feel I get better as I get older and you're only as old as you feel, so I guess I'm about 21. lol.

I love the month of love and doing nice, romantic things. That being said, I am so totally lost on ideas for Valentines day. Any helped out there? I'm thinking probably the usual nice, homemade dinner made by your's truly, a few gifts, and some romance, but does that get boring?

Also, tax time. We turned ours in today and are now playing the waiting game to see what we'll get back (come on, don't hurt me there, Uncle Sam).

Anyways, I wanted to do a fast post before bed. I am also going to start my weekly book reviews and do the photo a day challenge, so be looking for that :)
